Practical guidance for your lesson
Short answers to the questions guests ask most often. Static guidance — not live conditions.
Preparing for a first lesson
Arrive rested, with equipment collected the day before if possible. Tell us honestly about your level — it helps us choose the right instructor and terrain.
What to wear and bring
Warm layers, waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves, a helmet, goggles or sunglasses, sun cream and a small snack. Children need the same, sized for them.
Equipment rental
Rental shops in the resort can fit skis, boots, snowboards and helmets. Equipment is not part of the lesson unless the school confirms it.
Lift passes
The right pass depends on where your lesson takes place. Ask the office before you buy; prices change and are not shown here.
Meeting arrangements
Our chalet-office is in the village centre at Metzggasse 9, by the church square. It is where you can find the team — your lesson itself may start at a lift station or on the mountain. The office confirms the exact meeting point for each lesson.
Watch: directions to our Zermatt officeChildren and mixed-ability groups
Tell us everyone's age and level. Where abilities differ widely, separate instructors may give everyone a better day — the office will suggest what works.
Preferred teaching language
Teaching languages depend on the instructors available. The language of this website does not mean lessons are offered in that language.
Weather and lifts
Lessons and experiences depend on weather and lift operation. If conditions change, the office will discuss options with you.
If your plans change
Contact the office as early as possible. Cancellation terms are reference information pending confirmation by the school.
